Composition and Classification of Fiber Optic Cables

Fiber optic cables are light-guiding materials used to transmit optical signals. They consist of optical fibers, a protective sheath, an optical fiber core, and an optical fiber jacket. The optical fibers are the light-guiding material used to transmit optical signals, and are currently mainly divided into two types: glass optical fibers and plastic optical fibers. The protective sheath, optical fiber core, and optical fiber jacket are used to protect the optical fibers.
